Saturday night.. was my cuzzy Jacqueline's wedding reception. Ricky asked to hit the club with him and his cuzs. The wedding was rather dull as always. So after 11 he picked me up, I buzzed Gwen who brought Adrian and together we joined Braden and Hilton at Amoeba. And with that being my first time ever, like Gwen said before. "pecah virgin". Hahaha...
Yup, there goes my first try..Lucky I didn't get drunk, unlike someone *wink* hehehe.. I enjoyed it a lot. This will definitely not going to be my last..Hehe..

Gawai Sensation..Where art thou?
By this time of the year, all Dayaks in Sarawak are busy preparing for Gawai and my Mom is no exception. Although this year my family is not celebrating but my Mom is still in the cleaning-up mode and as always drags me into it too. I hate cleaning the uncleanable like my house for example. But I guess I have no choice. Talking about choices, I have to decide where I would like to spend my Gawai this time. Thila asked me to stay with her while Dayang is in Kuching. But my family is heading to Rayu. Here are the options.
Thila
1. Get to go ngabang with friends
2. Get to go to Ricky's place
3. Get to meet Dayang after a year
Rayu
1. All my adorable nephews are there
2. Rayu is always fun
I still have time to think bout it douh... Owh yeah, Happy Gawai everyone..

Spending time with the girls..
Last sunday, Thila, Gwen, Tiff and I went to Damai beach.. We had sooo much fun.. The sun was gentle, the sand was soft and the food was great. Then after, we met up with Nutt and went to Spring and Bing to have some donuts and coffee..For pics and details, visits Gwen's page.. http://gwendalynhazel.blogspot.com/
And then, last nite we had a surprise B-day Partay for the Lovely Miss Tiffey Tyler.. Brandon had to "bertungkus-lumus" to prepare for this. We had to lie to her, saying we were to busy to celebrate her birthday, got her really emo, sorry Tiff.. Hehe.. But, she was really surprised..Tiff went speechless, which is almost never until last night...We had the party at Jambu.
The after party is at Links. We were so sakai when we went to the Ladies Room.. Very bergaya.. LOL
All the photos are taken from Gwen's facebook profile.. Hehe

The rest of my days in Sabah..
It has been a week since I left Sabah..
Manukan Island Resort
Manukan is so super sweet.Beautiful..Boat ride + Life vest + Snorkel + Goggle = RM 30
We went from morning till around 2pm. The sun was hot but the wind was cold so as usual my nose meragam . Hehe.. Luckily I didn't get sunburn. My legs were bitten by some fish who was protecting it's coral. I saw this blue starfish. When I tried to touch it (not recommended),it swam away like jellyfish. Owh yeah, it was jellyfish season too so I was not too keen to go to the deep where all the big fish were at. At first, it was hard for us to use the snorkel. Most of the time I swallowed sea water instead of air. Shazz swallowed tiny fishes. I don't know how it happened, but it did. From Manukan, we can see Mamutik. Amin told us Mamutik has even more corals to the point you can even see the sea floor because it was infested by corals. Looks like I found my next reason to visit Sabah again. The boat ride back was enjoyable. Hehe..
I love this pic,for an obvious reason.
After Manukan, we pretty much the spent the rest of our day here shopping. Hehe.. We went for another round of Lokan Panggang. I bought 8 t-shirts. Haha.. On the way back, we were pretty nostalgic. We really didn't want to leave Sabah. But all good things have to come to an end. Owh yeah, we have already planned our next journey, Jakarta, here we come..

Day 5 in Sabah
Hi all.. actually I have written this entry for a while now, just that I haven't got the chance the upload it in. Now, together with the pictures. I shall update my blog..
Day 5
As promised, we went to Poring. But to get there, we have to endure 3 hours of driving uphill. Luckily, Seng came with us, and he brought his GF! Finally, I get to meet her. She is a very sweet girl, and pretty too. On the way to Poring, we stopped a while to take some pictures. This place is super cold. Like 19'C cold. We were practically moving through clouds. There were lots of villages up here and kept thinking to myself how lucky are these people to be able to live in places as magnificent as this one. There were also rest houses along the way, farms and parks.
Me and two of my best friends.
Once we reached Poring, I can't wait to jump into the Hot Spring. But somehow I figured it was better to look around first. We went deep into the jungle and finally reached the canopy walkway. I've never been on 1 before so I was so excited to get on it. But first we have to climb this really steep hill. It was even worst than the one in Lok Kawi Zoo and it was slippery and muddy. And I was wearing my most expensive converse shoe!! I thought we were never going to reach the top but eventually we did. While trying to catch our breath, we sat down exhausted. The finally we got up and were on the canopy walkway. The view was breath taking. Suddenly all our tiredness, gone with the wind. It was at first kind of scary but after that we don't want to get off. Even JayJay who's an Altophobic also enjoyed herself. Zain, on the other hand, was not. For someone who wants to be a pilot one day, he kind of freak us out when he looked like he might faint. Then we went down to the hot spring and rest. The rock pool was so cool and deep. The hot tub is, well, hot! Too hot to handle. My legs were boiling in it.
The pic on the right is taken on the canopy walkway.
Then after the cool bath, we all went to Kundasang War Memorial Park. This place is so beautiful and smells wonderful. The roses were huge. I was so busy smelling every blooming flowers here. I love every one of it. This war memorial park is dedicated for all the war soldiers from Britain, New Zealand and Australia.
Then after that, we went to Kinabalu Park. The starting point of Mount Kinabalu climb. But we couldn't really enjoy the view because it was raining and the rain here is ice cold. To my complete despair, I found out that the pic of Mt. Kinabalu I have been seeing all these times was not the actual peak. It was preferred just cause it looked better then the actual mountain peak. Damn! Now I know how children must have felt like when they found out that Santa doesn't exist. Then after,we went back to KK. That night, Amin took me, JayJay and Shazz on a Ponds Hunt. We went to Kampung Air (sorry Bryan, I know you told me not to). There were so many of them and so out in the open. And my gosh, they look so pretty. Almost like real girls. And super sexy too. I think we circled them like 5 times.Hehe..Then around 1 a.m. we went back to the apartment for our next adventure.

Day 3 and 4 in Sabah
Lok Kawi Wildlife
We woke up early today and went to Lok Kawi Wildlife centre.. Being an animal lover, this was the day that I anticipated the most. Wild animal always excites me, dead and/or alive ;)
First animal we saw was the rain deers. They really looked like Rudolph..Then I saw a clouded leopard, one of my fav big cats. Then there was this Burung Tiong that can speak, not that amusing but the fact that it spoke in Sabahan accent really turned us giddy. Some of the words it spoke was "Hai, Datang dari mana ko? Apa tu?" and in different voices each time! After that, we saw baby elephants, some fat ass lazy tigers, otters, and lots more.
Botanical Garden
Then we reached botanical garden The place is heavenly. There were sets of stairways that leads deeper into the jungle and I don't know who's brilliant idea it was to climb those stairways. Not that I mind the exercise but not after 2 hours of walking around the center. The climb was steep and seems unending.Shaz was the one complaining the most. But it was really cool at the top and we saw some ginseng, tongkat ali and cinnamon tree. On the way down, it was really slippery, and I was afraid that I might fall.
Near the top, we were exhausted.
Then on our way out of the center, we stop by the reptile house but it didn't really met my expectation as I was hoping for something more than a bunch of snakes and tortoises. Overall, I had fun there and most of the animals reminded me of my friends and family. LOL ;)
After Lok Kawi, we went to Salut. Amin showed us Politeknik and the hostel he used to stay in. Upon reaching there, we met up with Sung and Chong. Salut consist of small stalls set up by the road side, mostly operated by Indonesians. Then we ordered Chilled Coconut and Soto each. Sung ordered 4 big trays of Lokan (Polymesoda expansa). The Soto was okay, rated at A-. The Lokan how ever, scored the highest. A++, 100%, perfecto! It taste heavenly. I'm pretty sure the reaction I gave on my first bite was similar to the ones given by whoever ate dishes prepared by Liu Mau Shing of Cooking Master Boy.
The Lokan was grilled with charcoal, with grated ginger and served with sweet and sour sauce. The flesh was fresh and aromatic. It was juicy, succulent and just down right amazing. I have never tasted anything this good. Not even pork, or sex, or alcohol can beat this one. I love every bite I took, around 30 of them ;) Sung was clearly very happy when he saw my reaction. With this, I vow I will return to Sabah. Sung paid for the whole meal, around RM130. Thanx, Sung!
Then we went to Karamunsing, nothing much until Sung asked to join him underground to the arcade. We played a couple of races, then me and Shaz decided to try out K-Box. Hahaha..We had the most fun. First we sang As Long As You Love Me, then I Was Born To Make You Happy and finally we sang Suci Dalam Debu by Iklim. Owh my, it was fun. No wonder people can easily get addicted to one of these,I know I am ;) and that was the most fun day I had ever since I'm in Sabah.
Day 4
Nothing much to do to day. We were supposed to go to Poring but Yohan can't make it. So we ended up stray. We had our branch at this Vietnamese restaurant, Peppermint. The food is of top class. They got an A from me. Bravo!
Went shopping, got myself a couple of Ts and 1 for John too. Then we went to Amin's relative place. Then we ate at this curry house. The food too was marvelous. Another A. But it was a bit too pricey. Amin paid RM100+.
Then we went to the movies. Angels and Demons. I read the book before,by Dan Brown the author for The Da Vinci Code. And yet again, they movie makers turned a really good story into crappy movie. How disappointing. They cut out all the important details. Shaz and Amin made uo their own theory about the movie all through the show. After it ends, I have to clear things up with this two then it made sense. However, there's nothing much I can do about the rest of the movie goers who didn't actually read the book. It's a really good book actually. One of my fav. Anyways, tomorrow is Poring, Kundasang and Ranau. Can't wait!!

Day 1 and 2 in Kota Kinabalu
One word..Excited!! Have never been in Sabah before. I think by far it was the ongest flight I've been on. But the cool thing was I get to see land all the way there (unlike going to KL). First it was Sibu, den Bintulu, Miri, then Labuan and finally KK. My adrenaline was pumping hard as i thought we were gonna land on the beach for all the way though the descend, all I see was this magnificent spread o blue wonders beneath us. I have never seen such a spectacular array of beaches, sand and reefs. From that moment on, I knew I'm gong to enjoy myslef here.
This pic was taken after we got our boarding pass.
Right before boarding the plane.
The moment we land..LOL..Don't ask what JJ is doing..It's just something she does..
When you put two wrongs together, this is what happened.
When we reached promenade apartment, we were kinda shocked. This place is huge. Smelled like rotten fish and looked kinda scary. We were starting to regret our stay here until we saw our room. We were dumbstruck. The beds were standard size. The TV set is bigger than most. So is the fridge, although the noise it made kept me up all night. it has a kitchenette with working stove, pots, wok, even provided us with rice cooker and all.
We went to Center Point and all the plazas in this area. Oh yeah, and pasar Filipin too..Nothing much to see..
Day 2
This morning, went out with the boys to have breakfast at Selempang? or sumthing.. the food, D-!! not even worth trying.. ewww perabis.. shit.. hahaha.. den we went to Warisan Plaza and bought myself a new pink bra..Den in the afternoon, I called Yohan to pick us up to 1 Borneo..God, I miised that guy..Hasn't changed one bit even after a year. LOL.. 1 Borneo was a typical hypermall. Like they said, seen one, seen them all..
Then we had lunch at this new joint called New York..The food was 1st class.. my tummy agreed 100%. Love the love..A+ new yorkers.. worth every cent. Rather pricey douh..
Den we went off to Tanjung Aru..this place is nice. BUT, I saw some locals went into the beach and actually past in the water. I went like "What the f*ck?!" I told Yohan, Zain n Chong what I saw, they said that that guy was just A)Crab Hunting, B)Writting Letter C)Praying... and then we saw that man, got up and zipped his flier...I know.. Freaky.. to make it worse, I saw it twice by another woman.. so now I know what Yohan meant when he said the Pilaks here past along the shore.. Like..Ewww...
A nice pic at Tanjung Aru
Then we settled down and decided to go to Lok Kawi Zoo tomorrow.. So, until then.. TTFN...
